Pear Guacamole with Jicama

Add a delightful crunch and a touch of sweetness to your guac with this non-traditional spin on a Mexican staple. Recipe by Katie Lemons (Twist of Lemons).
INGREDIENTS
  • 5 avocados, mashed
  • 1/2 red onion
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 2 large cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1-2 pears
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mash avocado, then fold in remainder of ingredients.
  2. Serve with jicama (peel and dust with salt, pepper, paprika, and Old Bay seasoning)
