Ham and Goat Cheese Sandwich with Bourbon-Masala Poached Pears

Take Bourbon Masala Poached Pears, packed with the spicy goodness of cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger and bathed in bourbon whiskey. Slice them up and turn a simple ham and cheese sandwich into something incredible!
INGREDIENTS
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 ounces goat cheese (chevre), softened
  • ½ an orange, zest only
  • 8 slices good-quality Italian bread
  • ¾ pound thinly sliced ham
  • 4 quarters Bourbon Masala Poached Pears, sliced
DIRECTIONS

In a small bowl, mix the softened cream and goat cheese together with the orange zest. Spread the cheese mixture evenly among the slices of bread. Pile the shaved ham atop four of the slices of bread, and then top with the pear slices. Top the sandwiches with the remaining slice of bread, cut in half, and serve.
